Cyprus - Incoming tourism statistics 2012

A reduction of 11% was recorded in tourist arrivals in February this year in comparison to February 2011, according to figures released by the Statistical Service.
Meanwhile, tourist arrivals for the period January - February 2012 stood at 103,030, down 3.5% compared with 106,736 in the corresponding period of 2011.
Based on the results from passenger surveys, arrivals of tourists in February 2012 fell to 55,420 compared with 62,294 in February 2011, a decrease of 11.0%.
In February, there was a decrease of 5.7% in tourist arrivals from the United Kingdom (20.827 in 2012 compared with 22,095 in 2011) and a 4.6% decrease from Germany (8.427 compared to 8.830 last year).
